POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As part of a multidisciplinary team, provides comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to participants. Facilitates and promotes participant safety and quality of care.

PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement physicians’ orders, administer medications, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy, rules, and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patients’ needs for and responses to care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in participant care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all participants.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to nursing practice in the workplace
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years’ post-registration experience with disability/community/acute care
