POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:
ENROLLED NURSE

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for providing evidence-based nursing care for participants in accordance with the care plan developed in collaboration with the participant, their medical officer, and other members of the healthcare team.

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full Time / Part Time / Casual

REPORT TO:
Registered Nurse / Director

LOCATION:
PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with daily living activities, including delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients, and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals.
• Help patients with personal hygiene.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Full AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse
• Proven acute, disability, or community nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Well-developed time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster
• Advanced Life Support qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of two years’ post-registration experience with disability, community, or acute care

SKILLS:

• Well-spoken
• Experience working in disability, community, or acute environments
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation
• People skills to liaise with patients and families
• Ability to use medical software
• Literacy and numeracy skills
• Strong attention to detail
• A high level of discretion to maintain confidentiality
