The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian government initiative that provides funding and support to people with disabilities. It aims to help individuals achieve their goals, increase their independence, and participate more fully in the community.
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must be:
- Under 65 years of age
- An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
- Living with a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities
You can apply for the NDIS by contacting the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) directly, either by phone or through their website. You will need to provide information about your disability, how it impacts your daily life, and any existing support you receive.
